so..gonna have an extensive period of time off soon. w00t. the train was supposed to go to Mexico today..but, since we derailed there at the beginning of the year, and the effects of the tropical storm that went through the area not too long ago, they decided not to go. most of the passengers (a little over half) canceled, since they didn't want to do this denver/oakland trip (who would?), so..they canceled the next-to-last trip of the year. which means that my 2 weeks off has turned into a month. going to see my family, which is nice, but ouch for the wallet.

i've definitely decided i'm not coming back to the train next year. i haven't been enjoying it since Canada..it's full of drama, and painful memories. i'm really just waiting to end the year so that i can get my bonus (only $1000, but damn i can use it), and move to seattle. it'll be so nice to start somewhere fresh, without attachments or expectations. hopefully get a bartending job, maybe get a car (gasp!), live a nice normal existence (you know..until i get bored.)
